WOD: November 5, 2012

Standard

Strength – 1RM Deadlift

Score: 235 lbs

I was happy to get a new PR but a little bummed it was only by 5 lbs. It’s been 2 months since our last max deadlift so I had hoped to have increased a little more than that. But it’s a PR nonetheless.

WOD: Baseline: 500m row, 40 air squats, 30 sit ups, 20 push ups, 10 pull ups

Scaling: Green band on pull ups

Score: 6:56

I really pushed it on this WOD, trying to not rest as much as I normally might. According to the chart posted at the box, I fell between Collegiate & Expert…but since I scaled the pull ups I’m not sure how that factors in. I did find that the pull ups were maybe too easy with the green band, so after the WOD I did several with the purple band & felt pretty good. Not sure how I’d fare on a WOD with a ton of pull ups, but maybe I can start with purple & go to green if needed, or add an orange to the purple. Progress!!
